New buildings typically produce up to 50% of their carbon emissions as grey energy during the course of construction. Specifically, the construction of the load-bearing structure / shell and core and the building envelope are responsible for a significant proportion of carbon emissions.

The retention and modernisation of the YORCKS complex has saved emissions corresponding to a utilisation period of up to 25 years. The sustainable use of YORCKS therefore makes an important contribution to the environment and climate.

Sustainability is a primary concern for the ABG Real Estate Group. The long-term benefit of a building for both people and the ecosystem is a key focus. All decisions and activities are based consistently on ESG criteria.
